The Favorable and the Unfavorable

In my opinion, blogs are beneficial to people as there are multiple types of blogs ranging from professional to personal. One of the two blogs I read was The Skinny Confidential blog. This blog is favorable to me as it discusses about multiple topics such as beauty and how to get clearer skin, as well as healthy recipes for those looking to lose some weight. The Skinny Confidential also speaks about traveling and providing guides, as well as having a topic on pregnancy and its effects. This blog is more centered around women. The Skinny Confidential blog is a casual/professional blog. The author uses cited sources and proper grammar and spelling, but her personality does show in her writing. The pictures shown in her blog are personal but professional.

The second blog I have read was Sporting News. This blog provides frequent updates and covers multiple sports ranging from football, basketball, baseball, and more. This blog provides news from other countries such as China and Canada. I personally do not like this blog as I am not the targeted audience on this matter. But that does not mean this blog is not beneficial to other people who want to hear the news about their sports teams. The Sporting News blog is a professional blog meant to inform sports fans about the latest updates in multiple sports. The blog provides cited links.

In conclusions, while some may not find certain blogs to be in their favor or all that useful, another person might say different. All blogs are beneficial in their own ways even if someone might not agree

  2. Decent start here, Emily. Remember that before you jump into analyzing and considering the blogs themselves, you first need to set up the post, establish the context, and invite the reader into the conversation. You consider various elements of each blog but additional details or specifics are needed to really illustrate the points you are trying to make here. Are your citations at the end for the entry as whole or for the images? Please review the information on the Blogs: Entry Specifics page in Module 1.2 regarding the citations for your images. Keep pushing yourself; you are on the right track.
